The Texas Rangers have signed Jon Niese to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training.

Niese didn't pitch during the regular season last year.

The 31-year-old had left knee surgery at the end of the 2016 season. He made six relief appearances in spring training for the New York Yankees in 2017.

The Cincinnati Reds have signed David Hernandez to a two-year deal.

According to a report, Hernandez's deal is worth $5 million.

The 37-year-old split last season between the Los Angeles Angels and Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to a two-year, $5 million deal with the Matt Albers, according to reports.

Albers is the latest addition to the Brewers, who added Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain to their outfield last week.

The right-hander has played for seven teams during his 12-year career. He went 7-2 with a 1.62 ERA in 63 games with the Washington Nationals last season.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have agreed to a Minor League deal with Neftali Feliz.

The deal includes an invitation to Spring Training.

Feliz appeared in a combined 49 games last season with the Milwaukee Brewers and Kansas City Royals.

The Milwaukee Brewers added Lorenzo Cain and Christian Yelich to their outfield last week and owner Mark Attanasio says they can still afford to sign a free agent pitcher.

The Brewers have been linked to Yu Darvish.

If they swing and miss on Darvish, it's conceivable that Milwaukee could turn their attention to Jake Arrieta, Lance Lynn or Alex Cobb.

Former All-Star reliever Francisco Rodriguez has agreed to a minor league contract with the Phillies and will report to major league spring training, according to multiple reports.

The deal, which was first reported by FanRag Sports on Saturday, will include a $2.5 million base salary if Rodriguez is added to the 40-man roster and a chance to make $1.25 million in incentives.

The Milwaukee Brewers have reached an agreement on a five-year, $80 million deal with Lorenzo Cain, according to a source.

Cain has passed his physical and will likely be formally introduced on Friday.

The New York Mets have reached an agreement on a one-year deal with Jose Reyes, according to a source.

The value of the deal is $2 million and Reyes can make an additional $500,000 through incentives.

The Mets plan to use him as their utility infielder.

It is "increasingly likely" that Yu Darvish will decide where he will sign by the end of the week, according to a source.

The Milwaukee Brewers reportedly made an offer to Darvish on Monday, while sources claim that the right-hander is also in negotiations with the Minnesota Twins.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, Texas Rangers and New York Yankees have also been linked to Darvish.

The market for Lorenzo Cain appears to be picking up as his representation at All Bases Covered Sports Management has begun informing some teams that they’re out of the running to sign the outfielder.

Cain is reportedly weighing a number four-year contract offers.

The 31-year-old hit .300/.363/.440 with 15 home runs and 49 RBI in 645 plate appearances this past season.
